New features/enhancements
[ ZOLL UI ] [ LEGACY UI ]
-
Crew member performing procedure: We identified an issue where, when less than four crew members were listed on a chart roster, the list of crew members in the Crew ID drop-down displayed empty rows when adding an action or procedure. This is fixed so all crew members listed on the chart are available in the drop-down list and no blank rows are displayed.
-
Minimum password length: We have increased the minimum number of characters that can be required for password length from eight to 15. The increased minimum number of characters required for password length is enforceable by all service types in ZOLL emsCharts. Users affiliated with multiple services will be required to adhere to the most secure password requirements configured among all their services.
Note: Service administrators can change the password requirements in Service Configuration > Code Tables > Password Management.
-
Set current time for new activity log entry: We have added the ability for users to set the current time for a new activity log entry with a single click rather than entering the hour and minute in the time field. In the [ ZOLL UI ], users will find a small clock icon beside the time field of new activity log forms. In the [ LEGACY UI ], the name of the time field has been converted to display as a button. Clicking on the clock or the Time button will set the activity log to the current time for the user. Times can still be manually entered.
Note: Setting the time using this method will not set the date.
-
Display personnel ID on printed copy of chart: We have added the ability for the personnel ID from a users profile to be displayed on the printed version of the chart in the same manner as clinical titles and licensure information. Service administrators can enable this option in Service Configuration > Chart > PRINT SETTINGS by setting 'Display Personnel info' to Yes.
Note: Users must have a personnel ID saved to their profile for it to display on the printed chart.
-
Duty roster reset: We added an option that allows services to choose between clearing out their duty roster assignments at midnight (historical default), or maintaining the assignments and only allowing them to be manually changed. The new setting is located in Service Configuration > Chart > Crew/Duty Roster > 'Reset Duty Roster at Midnight'.
Note: Setting this to Yes will reset the duty roster at midnight and setting it to No will require duty roster assignments to be manually changed.

-
Duplicate dispatch ID warning message not visible: We identified a flaw in the way the duplicate dispatch ID warning was displayed when users were attempting to create a chart from a CAD record that had been used on another chart. If there were four or more crew members assigned to a unit in the duty roster and a user tried to create a new chart from CAD import using a duplicate dispatch ID, the user was prevented from creating the new chart but the warning message was not readily visible and could only be seen if the user scrolled down in the window. We moved the placement of the warning message to the top of the Create New Chart window to ensure that regardless of the number of crew members assigned to a unit in the duty roster, warning messages are visible.
-
Improvements in navigating fields using a keyboard: We have made improvements to the way active fields are displayed throughout various pages of a chart, including a darker border around active fields and a more clearly defined border when using a keyboard to navigate to a button. To improve the efficiency of the chart review and QA process and allow for the use of macro keyboards, we have also added the ability for users to navigate the QA Flag creation window using keyboard commands without the need for mouse clicks or touch screen interactions.
-
Quick Action comments: To help improve the speed and consistency of documentation within charts, the number of characters that can be used in the comments section of a Quick Action has been increased from 70 to 1,000.
Fixed issues

-
Hyperlinked PRID's in composite reports: We fixed an issue that was preventing PRID's from being hyperlinked in the output of composite reports.
-
Printed chart header incorrect when Print All option used: Some services reported that when they used the search function from the Patient Records page and clicked the PRINT ALL button on the results page, the header of the last printed chart would contain information regarding the group of charts, not the expected individual chart header information. This is fixed so when the PRINT ALL option is used to print multiple charts, the print preview for each chart is created individually with the expected unique header information and page identifiers, before being presented to the user as a combined printable document.

-
Unique dispatch ID required: We fixed a bug that prevented users from creating a new chart from a CAD import if the dispatch ID on the CAD record had already been documented on another chart but the Service Configuration > Chart > Force Unique Dispatch ID setting was set to No. Now you can create new charts from CAD imports with duplicate dispatch ID's if Force Unique Dispatch ID is set to No.
-
Medical History search error: Some users reported receiving an error when searching for a Medical History item containing an apostrophe, such as "Parkinson's Disease". This has been corrected to ensure that users are able to search for Medical History items that contain special characters.
-
Preceptor/student roles: Some services reported that the option to assign crew members the role of Preceptor or Student within a chart remained visible when the Command Facility option for preceptor/student roles was turned off. This is fixed and the Preceptor and Student roles are no longer visible in a chart if the Command Facility Configuration > Chart > Page 1 & Patient Page > Crew P/S setting is set to No.
-
Chart change log: We fixed some issues with the Chart Toolbox that caused the formatting to look different than the rest of the chart and could prevent users from scrolling through the change log for a chart. The Chart Toolbox now has the same look, feel, and functionality as the rest of ZOLL emsCharts.
